这是Carolin Horn的一个信息可视化实验，选取的收件箱中email信息的自然隐喻。这个实验的目标是让用户对于他的email世界产生其他的体验。
这个实验最令人惊讶的部分在于微生物的生理特性与email的属性完美的结合在一起，比如以活跃程度来比喻邮件的处理优先程度（未读、已读未处理，已处理），以微生物的大小和透明度来比喻邮件的新旧程度。这种设定初看起来是复杂而低效的，但当你适应这个规则之后，你会发现邮件所呈现的生物特性会使得处理邮件也变得充满乐趣。当然这是一个实验项目，不必追问其实际应用的效率问题。
